Tour Description:
Jerusalem is a Holy City for 3 religions, this Tour was an overview of the interplay of those three groups throughout History. We walked around the Ramparts of Jerusalem and viewed the life of the City from above. Then we got ‘up close and personal with the Western Wall in the ‘Kotel Tunnel Tour’. We finished at the Aish HaTorah building for the best view of the mountain so holy to many religion and peoples.
Itinerary
Start : Jaffa Gate 8:30 am
1. Ramparts walk and walk along Via Dolorosa to Holy Sepulchre and Jewish Quarter – A Historic Overview of all Quarters of the Old City.
2. The Kotel and Herod ‘s 2nd temple (10:30 am) – An overview of the creation of the Second Temple, its architecture and history.
3. The Kotel Tunnels(11:20 am ) – 2nd Temple Jerusalem and getting up close and personal with the Kotel
4. Lunch (12:30)
5 . Temple Mount (13:30)- Visit the Temple Mount site of Jewish Temple and the Dome of Omar and Mosque of El Aksa.
6. Taxi to Israel Museum and Shrine of the Book (1500 – 1600) – Unearthing the ancient stories of Israel.
