This is an exciting adventure! A voyage through history, an exploration of spirituality and nature.

A ten day tour, one such as this I have guided for Taglit – Mayanot  and various private individuals. Ideal for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah Tour, an introduction to Israel. Your very own Educational Experience.

The following itinerary is merely a sample tour and by no means extensive.

Old City itinerary – Day 1

  •  08:30 – Overview of Jerusalem from the Tallest buiding
  • 09:30– Jerusalem in the time of the Romans – The Burnt House / Herodian Quarter
  • 11:00 – A Short Walking Tour of the Jewish Quarter and visit to the Kotel
  • 12:00 – Lunch
  • 13:00 –  Ir David : The City of David, Jerusalem in the time of the Bible.
  • 15:00 Overview of Yemin Moshe : New Jerusalem (Visit the Artists Colony)
  • 17:00 Visit the King David Hotel and hear its stories

New Jerusalem  Day 2: Friday 

  •  09:00`A Tour of the Picturesque Neighbourhoods of Nachalat Shiva and Nachalaot
  • 12:00 A special lunch time gastronomic experience: Machaneh Yehudah Food Tour (includes 4 complementary tastings)
  • 15:00 How Jerusalem prepares for Shabbat

I can arrange (if required, hosting for Shabbat meals with my community) 

 

Shabbat – Saturday  Day 3

Free day, I can recommend activities within Jerusalem

  • The Israel Museum, Shrine of the Book and Bible Lands Museums are open.
  • The Jerusalem Zoo is open
  • The Jerusalem Cinemateque is also open.
  • I can arrange a trip to Bethlehem if appropriate.

 

New Jerusalem Day 4

  •   08:30 – Travel to Yad Vashem –Israel’s Holocaust Museum
  •  11:00 –The creation of Israel through the lives of it’s heros –  Walk up the hill to Mount Herzl National Cemetary.
  • 13:00 – Lunch Downtown in Ein Kerem
  • 14:30 – A Tour of the picturesque village of Ein Kerem

Masada and the Dead Sea –  Day 5

  • 0700 –    Masada: Unesco  Heritage Site and place of a historic Roman Siege.
  • 1200 –    Ein Gedi: beautiful Nature Park
  • 1500-     The Dead Sea

The Northern Coast: Haifa, Acre and Roshe HaNiqra Day 6

  •  08:00     Leave Jerusalem
  • 10:00     Walking Tour of Haifa’s picturesque German Colony
  • 12:00     Tour of the Baha’i gardens – central temple of a world religion.
  • 13:00     Lunch in Haifa
  •  14:30     Explore the Crusades:  Knights Halls in Acre
  • 15:00     Tour of Rosh Haniqra – breathtaking grottoes.
  • 17:00     Drive to hotel in Safed

 Tiberias and the Galilee  (from Safed) Day 7

  • 0800 – Leave Safed
  • 0900 – Arrive in Mount Arbel, Nature walk in Mount Arbel
  • 1200Lunch in Tiberias
  • 1330 – Walking Tour of Tiberias
  • 1500 – Walking Tour of Safed: Birthplace of Jewish Mysticism
  • 1600 A choice of a visit to: a traditional Safed Cheesemonger, the Dalton Winery or the Galita chocolate farm.

More Northern Galilee and Golan Day 8

  • 0800 Leave Safed
  • 0900 Arrive in the Hula Lake – a unique interactive zoological experience (possibility of ringing birds)
  •  1300 Lunch at Qatsrin
  • 1400 Hike in the Gilaboon
  • 1700 Visit Mount Bental : Observation point over Syria, bunker maze
  • Travel Back to Tel Aviv
  • (optional visit to Qatsrin  winery or brewery)

Tel Aviv and Jaffa Friday  Day 9

  •   0900 Tour of Old Jaffa – The old Ottoman City.
  •   1100 Tour of Neve Zedek: The Hyphen between Tel Aviv – Jaffa
  •   1300 Lunch and visit to the Carmel Market
  •   1500 prepare for Shabbat
